Lore

Opti-caltrop fires a laser beam that damages zombies. When the beam hits another Opti-caltrop's light orb, it refracts and gains damage. Click Opti-caltrop to adjust the beam angle.

Opti-caltrop may be one of the most irritable plants around, but its personality is still good at heart. The orb on its head looks pleasant to touch, but touching it would probably get you yelled at, so forget it.

  • Base data: 75 sun; 20s recharge; 1.5s attack interval; 400 HP.
  • Fires a laser through its light orb; click to adjust the angle.
  • The laser refracts and gains damage when passing through other Opti-caltrop orbs.
  • Its laser is not affected by slowing, and the orb attracts fireflies.
  • Corchid increases damage and refraction; Magnet-shroom can pass firefly lamps to make it fire a laser cannon for a while.

In-game tooltip

Emits laser through a light orb. The laser’s angle can be manually adjusted by clicking. The laser can refract off certain objects and orbs of other Opti-caltrops.
