A mysterious atmosphere has always hung over the place.
No surviving record confirms it, but the legend of a fearsome witch has been passed down here for as long as anyone can remember. Nobody has truly gotten into trouble here, at least not on record, yet stepping inside still feels strange and grim.
Reliable records are scarce.
What is known is that people lived here long ago and left traces behind: mechanisms that still require puzzles to open. Then, at some unknown point, the place was abandoned.
And so it became the Mysterious Swamp known today.
