No surviving record confirms it, but the legend of a fearsome witch has circulated here for as long as anyone can remember. Nobody has truly come to harm here, at least not on record, yet stepping inside still feels strange and grim.
Reliable records are scarce.
What is known is that people lived here long ago and left traces behind: mechanisms that still require puzzles to open. Then, at some unknown point, the place was abandoned.
Over time, it became the Mysterious Swamp known today.
